I had a mixed experience staying at Casa Ofelia in Mexico City. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Polanco, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed, which I appreciated. However, the service left much to be desired, especially since there was no friendly reception to help with basic needs.🚶♂️😔

The King Room was quite spacious and had a comfy bed. However, some amenities looked used or old, which was disappointing for a new hotel.

The absence of a welcoming staff was noticeable. The security guy was often preoccupied with his phone, which affected my experience. Also, I needed assistance late at night but couldn't get any help.

My stay at Casa Ofelia had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Polanco, and my room was spacious and comfortable. However, the service could definitely use improvement, as I encountered some issues with the staff and amenities.

I enjoyed the spaciousness of my King Room, which had very comfortable beds. However, I noticed that some items looked a bit worn, even though the hotel is relatively new.
Service

The service left a lot to be desired. There was no receptionist, only a security guard who seemed indifferent and couldn't help with basic inquiries about amenities like the welcome beers or additional water.

The location is unbeatable! I loved how close everything was within walking distance in Polanco, making it easy to explore the area.

I didn't get to experience the dining as I was looking for more options nearby, but I did enjoy conveniences like Niddo directly downstairs.
Facilities

While the overall design was pleasing, I found some of the facilities lacking. The lack of air conditioning made for a hot, uncomfortable night, and I also noticed the bathroom needed better maintenance.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. On one hand, the location was fantastic and the room was charming. However, I found the lack of attentive service and the absence of air conditioning in my larger room quite disappointing.

I had a good stay at Casa Ofelia. the Master Suite was a standout with its amazing private terrace and amazing nighttime breeze. Despite a few hiccups with staff interactions, the location was perfect for exploring the city and enjoying local street food. Overall, a nice experience with some room for improvement.
Rooms

The Master Suite was very nice with a spacious private terrace and excellent water pressure in the rain shower. The bed was comfortable, and the linens felt fresh and soft. The snacks and drinks awaiting my arrival were a nice touch.
Service
7.0
While most staff were pleasant, I encountered one person at the front desk who lacked professionalism and wasn't very helpful with directions or cab arrangements. This was surprising given the generally warm nature of the locals.
Location

The location was unbeatable. everything I wanted to explore was within walking distance, and the nearby taco stand was a real gem. I enjoyed some of the best street food right around the corner.
Dining
8.0
Although I didn't dine extensively in-house, having Niddo right downstairs was convenient for quick meals, and the street food scene made dining options exciting.
Facilities

The general design of the place was appealing, but some fixtures felt cheap and needed attention, such as the loose bathroom handles and thin walls that let in hallway noise.

My stay at Casa Ofelia was highlighted by its fantastic location in a safe neighborhood, though there were some service issues that detracted from the experience. The room was cozy, but without adequate heating, I found the first night quite chilly. The reception staff did provide space heaters and extra blankets to help. yet the inattentiveness from some staff members was disappointing.
Rooms

The room I stayed in was cozy but felt a bit smaller than the pictures suggested. I appreciated the extra blankets provided, though I wished it had better heating options.
Service
5.0
The service was overall lacking. I noticed inattentive staff who were not very helpful, like when I needed assistance with my bags. This stood out, given the friendly service I'd experienced elsewhere in Mexico.
Location
8.0
The location was definitely the best aspect of my stay, set in a very safe and welcoming neighborhood. Nearby was Niddo Café, which served a good selection of specialty coffees and pastries.
Dining
8.0
While I didn't dine extensively at the hotel, the nearby café provided excellent food and coffee options that complemented my stay nicely.
Facilities

The facilities felt adequate, although a bathroom in the lobby would have been a welcome addition. Accessing the cafeteria next door for restroom use was slightly inconvenient.
